What is Lipolysis?

Conditions where fat is concentrated in certain parts of the body are called regional lubrication. Regional lubrication can sometimes be structural, and in some cases, it can occur as a result of certain diseases or treatments. While we can witness that some people do not have stubborn regional lubrication problems despite being overweight, we can see that some people have lubrication problems that concentrate and resist in certain parts of their bodies despite healthy life routines such as weight control and sports activities. Regional fats can be a marker or trigger for some diseases. For this reason, the problem of regional lubrication should not be evaluated only as an aesthetic problem.

Lipolysis , which means the dissolution and breakdown of fats, has been one of the promising treatment options for regional lubrication problems in recent years. With the techniques applied in lipolysis treatment, it is aimed to achieve regional slimming by targeting stubborn fats. In order for the treatment to be successful, it is recommended to support it with a nutrition program and sports. It has been observed that men lose weight faster in lipolysis treatment, which can be applied to both women and men . This may be due to the fact that men’s metabolisms work faster than women’s. Every adult woman and man can be treated with lipolysis as long as they meet the necessary health conditions.

Depending on the area to be applied, more than one injection can be used and these injections are applied to the subcutaneous layers at 2 to 3 cm intervals and in equal doses. The process can take about 40 minutes. It is not a painful procedure. However, creams and sprays with local anesthetic effect can be applied to the procedure area so that the patients can get through the process without any problems.

The cold lipolysis technique targets the breakdown of regional fats by cooling. First, a special pad is placed in the treatment area. The aim is to prevent being affected by cold during the process. A special vacuum device applied over the pet absorbs the fats that are desired to be broken down and starts cooling at the level between -5 and -10 degrees. The process takes about 1 hour.
